I have just finished some great books that I think you will enjoy this summer.  Try one of these great new titles:

Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles  This modern day Romeo and Juliet story is great!

Romiette and Julio by Sharon Draper  Another great Romeo and Juliet story!

The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini  These two books present vivid and complex stories of life in war-torn Afghanistan.

Cane River by Lalita Tademy  This fictional account of Ms. Tademy's family history is awe-inspiring and will leave you wanting more!

..."The Appeal" by John Grisham. 

Do you like thrillers?  Well, have I got one for you!  A woman sues a chemical company after her husband and son die of cancer, the result of their drinking water contaminated by pollution from the company.  She wins millions of dollars in her lawsuit; however, the CEO of the chemical company has decided to appeal the verdict.  What will happen in this edge-of-your-seat thriller?  Read more at John Grisham's website.

Hannah Blake commited suicide.  Now, a box of cassette tapes has shown up on Clay Jensen's doorstep, containing Hannah's thirteen reasons why she committed suicide--and he's one of them!

Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer  Really fun and cool books about teenage vampires and werewolves!  (By the way, the first book is being made into a movie, scheduled to come out 12/12/08!)

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova  A really freaky, scary book about a woman searching for Dracula!  Will raise the hairs on your arm as you read!!




Like, totally rad girlie books!

The Gossip Girl Series by Cecily Von Ziegesar  Just like the funky new TV show, these books are sure to please!
The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot  Again, just like the fun movie with Anne Hathaway, but in a book!  (By the way, she has tons of other fun series...including a comic book!  Check out her website!)

Tears of a Tiger, Copper Sun, November Blues by Sharon Draper  She's a wonderful author--you won't want to put these books down!

Eragon and Eldest by Chrisopher Paolini  If you liked the movie, you'll love the book series!
